You've heard this story plenty of times.. But for those new to the page, here's a recap.
I first started Tone It Up back in 2000/2002 when I was PT - 2002 had my first home studio at my house as well as working for Fernwood in Castle Hill, Sydney. Then I headed overseas for 10 years, fast forward to 2013 and I am managing Anytime Fitness for 5 years whilst sticking my toe back in to PT and 're certifications'. 2018/2019 I had a break whilst I focused on my "journey" as a Fitness Competitor & started an Admin role.
January 2020 over a Thai dinner Tone It Up Bootcamp resurfaced to help my friends 'get fit' and have a class to go too.
Bring on COVID19 for two years where I still managed to GROW my 'backyard Bootcamps". Not only did I grow in numbers, I took on PT clients from home (hello home gym in the lounge room) and online. I studied several courses (Nutrition, Kettlebell, Program Design, Hypertrophy...just to name a few)
Matt said to me one day "let's build a gym out the back" >>> OK! Didn't need to ask me twice! 12 months ago he poured the slab: worked on it when he wasn't working or wrecked from building his own business. It was a hard slog physically & mentally. But we got there in the end. My t t endless thanks & gratitude to Matt for everything he has done to see my business to grow.
So what is the meaning of this post? Set your goals & keep plodding along. Rome wasn't built in a day, and you will learn so much and possibly change the direction along the way. You may also fall off the wagon a few times, get disgruntled and pissed off.. but having that goal in sight is key.
There will be obstacles and changing of goal posts along the way, it's how you react & overcome them. Your behaviour will shape your journey, keep positive in anyway shape or form - for every negative over come it with NINE positives.. try this in your everyday life (Reference: Steven Bartlett Podcast - Diary of a CEO with Mo Gawdat) 90% of Life is Positive.
If your goal is weightloss then think of the same approach to other goals. One step at a time. 1 kilo at a time. One day at a time. Life WILL get in the way, obstacles arise, You may also fall off the wagon a few times, get disgruntled and pissed off.. but having that goal in sight is key. Enjoy the journey and the lessons you learn along the way.
If you are ready to enter the next phase of your journey and reach some goals then it's time to get started.
